What is Signal and Advantage of DSP | DSP Lec-1
- What is Signal?
Ans:
A signal is defined as any physical quantity that various with time, space or
any other variable or variable mathematically.
We can describe a signal as:
S1(t) = st,
Where t= independent variable
S2 (x, y) = ax + by2
Digital
signal: A discrete-time signal will have values at
intervals along the
Time axis-
Basic element of a digital signal processing system:

Signal processing (DSP) over Analog signal processing:
- . Digital
Signal processing allows flexibility in reconfiguring the operation by changing
program.
- . DSP provides much better control of accuracy requirements.
